As Heidi Klum says on Project Runway, “Fashion: One day you’re in and the next day you’re out.” What’s true of fashion today has always been true.
Victorian and Edwardian Fashion is the second of my Pinterest boards to be released to the public. The board focuses mainly on fashion from 1890 onward, but a few dresses from the late-1880s were added simply because they were too beautiful not to include.
Here is a peek at the board:
This board covers all aspects of fashion from the Victorian and Edwardian time periods including period advertising.
I have included clothing from all the social classes as well as clothing for men, women and children. You’ll find a combination of antique, black and white photos taken of people as well as contemporary color photos taken of clothing. Occasionally, you’ll find a special photo like this one: an early color photo.
Finally, what an impression this lady must have made walking down the street.
If you love Victorian and Edwardian fashion as much as I do, visit my board. You’ll find more than 500 pins for your enjoyment.
